Literacy is defined by the National Literacy Act as “an individual’s ability to read, write, and speak in English, compute and solve problems at a level of proficiency necessary to function on the job and in society, to achieve one’s goals and develop one’s knowledge and potential.”

Tutors and referral services are available for individuals who are reading below a fifth-grade level, will attend tutoring sessions 2 hours each week, and who are committed to learning to read.  It’s never too late to learn to read, so call today to schedule an appointment for an evaluation.
